Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of the course students will be able to:
- Recognize and make good use of available sources of data of epidemiological interest
- Collect, analyze and interpret methodologically sound primary descriptive data
- Identify and be able to correctly apply the types of descriptive epidemiological designs
- Formulate correct causal assumptions
- Identify and be able to correctly apply the types of analytical epidemiological designs to test causal hypotheses
- Identify the characteristics of preventive intervention studies, how to plan them, implement and evaluate them
- Be aware of issues arising in the design, execution, analysis and interpretation of the results of preventive intervention studies
